Ramona Flowers. I spent awhile faffing about with a design I didn’t like so I just threw on the gigantic jacket my brother gave me which was super comfortable.
And then I enjoyed drawing it.
Korra, why not.
I’m afraid I’ve become a little obsessed with Tomb Raider.
It’s pretty much a better version of the Tomb Raider reboot I’d absently dreamed up years ago. (long time fervent Kotaku readers may recognize this from years back) Though mine was an 18th century pirate Lara Croft, the mysterious mostly open world pacific island full of salvage and ancient mysteries is pretty perfect. I might have traded the over abundance of guns for a slowly reloading flintlock and dual sabers.
Old doodle, but always relevant. It doesn’t cover all of learning, because after you’ve drawn a lot you can always use guidance or tutelage to explore new avenues or refine techniques you’ve made for yourself. But the principle still applies.
I only bring this up again as I invariably end up having to explain 10pm to 4am (and beyond) being my “work hours,” to my friends. I had to essentially hire myself to do the jobs I wanted to do, because I haven’t found that someone who would. Does that make sense?
